Welcome 2022 ATLAS Fellows
ATLAS is thrilled to welcome 25 high school seniors to the second cohort of our program!
In 2021, ATLAS Fellows, Inc. was founded to open doors for brilliant and hardworking under-resourced young people to access careers in finance. It is the only organization to offer multi-year college scholarships, community support, and paid internships at top financial firms.
The Class of 2022 Fellows consists of talented and ambitious students who are interested in pursuing a wide range of opportunities across the finance and STEM sectors—including entrepreneurship, statistics, and computer science. This group of passionate, determined young people demonstrates the talent to succeed in a highly competitive field. The new cohort includes driven young people who have started finance clubs at their high schools, managed stock portfolios with a 12.5 percent return, and even performed with Chance the Rapper. Imagine what these students are capable of after four years of personal and professional development through the ATLAS program.
Above all, these barrier-breaking leaders truly represent the new face of finance.
· 32 percent of Fellows identify as API
· 32 percent of Fellows identify as Black
· 28 percent of Fellows identify as Latino/a
· 76 percent are first-generation college students

During the next seven weeks, Fellows will participate in a preparatory intensive hosted by ATLAS to build foundational professional skills and introduce them to basic concepts within the finance industry. They also will intern in various divisions at Balyasny Asset Management—from investment teams to client relations and data analysis to business development. Throughout the course of the summer, Fellows also have the opportunity to learn and network with professionals throughout the industry, representing firms including Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.
We at ATLAS are grateful to Balyasny Asset Management for its ongoing partnership and support. Together we are working to provide the next generation with access to the professional resources and mentorship opportunities they deserve to fulfill their career ambitions—regardless of ethnicity, race, gender identity, or socio-economic background.
