I come from a family of taxi drivers, laborers, and housemaids. Coming from a family of immigrants trying to settle in a new country, I had little exposure to finance. From helping my dad’s small business to selling slime at my locker, I had always known I was interested in business. This led me to discover the world of finance but also the inaccessibility to minority populations and those who may not have the connections to thrive in it. These barriers, because of my low-income identity, are beyond my control, but I will not let them stop me from breaking into finance and following my passions. This is why I joined the ATLAS community: to equip myself with the resources to become a trailblazer in the finance field and break the narrative of its inaccessibility and lack of diversity.
