ATLAS Graduate Profile: Miriam

Following summer internships at Balyasny Asset Management, Loop Capital, and Jefferies, ATLAS Fellow Miriam is planning to graduate from Notre Dame this spring. Below, Miriam reflects on a pivotal summer internship at Jefferies.

How did your internship at Jefferies impact your professional growth?

Participating in a rotational internship at Jefferies proved to be an enlightening and fulfilling experience. Engaging with various departments, connecting with diverse professionals, and adapting to life in a new city provided insights into transitioning from the college bubble to the professional world.

With graduation around the corner, what has ATLAS meant to you?

Time flies in the blink of an eye, but there is a lot to celebrate. The talent in each cohort has really shaped what ATLAS is today. I am part of the first cohort and there is a great sense of pride in paving the path for the underclassmen.

The chance to gain experience at various financial firms has been a tremendous blessing, particularly my internship at Jefferies. I will always cherish my time there, as it taught me to embrace discomfort. I now approach the workplace with greater confidence and am less intimidated, ready to share my ideas. As the saying goes, iron sharpens iron.
