ATLAS Graduate Profile: Kaylee Yin

After career exploration through four summers of internships at Balyasny, Bridge Investment Group, BMO and Citi, 2021 ATLAS Fellow Kaylee will return to Citi full-time this summer after she graduates.

How did your summer internship at Citi contribute to your growth and impact your career trajectory?

My experience at Citi was instrumental in my professional growth. What is most important to me in a career is being able to gain transferable skills that I can apply to my own life, and working at Citi in its Wealth Management division has allowed me to do exactly that. Through my internship, I gained exposure to how financial advisors tailor their approach to meet diverse client needs, which sharpened both my analytical and interpersonal skills. These are abilities I know I can carry forward into any role—whether it involves advising others or making thoughtful financial decisions in my own life.

Graduation is around the corner! What comes to mind as you reflect on your time with ATLAS?

I am filled with nothing but fondness and gratitude when I reflect on my time with ATLAS. TI have grown in ways my high school self could only dream of. The support from ATLAS and its partners has given me the confidence to navigate each new opportunity, knowing that my experience at Balyasny equipped me with the soft and hard skills needed to stand out in my internships. At Citi, I went in prepared to show my authentic self and knew that I had nothing to worry about because I was ready to take on anything after my experience at previous internships.
