ATLAS Fellows Welcomes Erica Eisenberg as the Associate Director of Foundations
Following the completion of our third summer in operation, we are excited to welcome Erica Eisenberg as the Associate Director of Foundations! In this role, Erica will oversee, lead, and guide the first- and second-year Fellows to establish a strong foundation in knowledge, networks, and skills to become the next generation of leaders in the finance industry.
Erica is a seasoned leader and coach dedicated to guiding students to pursue their ambitions. After initially pursuing a career in retail merchandising, Erica discovered a deep passion for education while working at her college’s preschool. This transformative experience led her to pivot her career path, where she became a dedicated kindergarten teacher and later an assistant principal. Over the past eight years, she honed her leadership and coaching skills across diverse charter schools in New York City, with a focus on narrowing the achievement gap in underserved communities.
We are pleased that Erica has eagerly embraced the opportunity to continue her impactful career full-time with ATLAS. This past summer, Erica served as an ATLAS career coach, providing one-on-one coaching and professional development to the 2023 Fellows during their internship at Balyasny Asset Management. “Erica was always there to support me and provide me with guidance and advice,” shared one Fellow. Another stated, “Erica encouraged me to make the most of my internship. I loved knocking on her door and being greeted with a smile.”
Phoebe Anderson, Executive Director of ATLAS Fellows, commented “At ATLAS Fellows, our mission is to make careers in the financial industry accessible to talented young people from diverse and under-resourced backgrounds. We look forward to harnessing her fervor for breaking down zip code barriers, revolutionizing recruiting practices, and redefining talent in the finance industry to ATLAS Fellows.”
Erica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Retail & Consumer Behavior from the University of Wisconsin, a Master of Science in Childhood Education & Special Education and a Master of Science in School & District Leadership from Touro University. She’s also a certified ScrumMaster (CSM), showcasing her ability to handle complex projects with agility.
