ATLAS Fellows, Inc. Welcomes 2024 Cohort, The Largest to Date

We are pleased to welcome our largest ATLAS Fellows cohort to date. This year, 34 high school seniors from under-resourced communities in Chicago and New York City are joining us on a journey to unlock career opportunities in finance. With the addition of this new cohort, the ATLAS community now includes more than 100 Fellows—77 percent of whom are the first in their family to attend college, and 59 percent of whom identify as female.

As in previous years, founding corporate partner Balyasny Asset Management will host the rising freshman group during their first summer with the program. For the first time, the ATLAS program will represent students from every college level—from rising freshman to rising seniors. In addition to interning at Balyasny, Fellows are working with our growing list of corporate partners across the financial services industry, including UBS, Investcorp, Baird, Kiski Group, and Primary, among others.

In 2024, we made the following enhancements to our program.

Enhanced Resources

This summer, ATLAS is partnering Viable EDU, a learning and professional development platform to provide financial content and trainings spanning the asset management and hedge fund space. Erice Eisenberg also has joined our team as the Associate Director, Foundations in October. In her role, Erica spearheads the first year of a Fellow’s participation in the program, from admission to the end of their freshman year of college.

Standardization

During the application and admissions process, ATLAS officially launched the G.R.I.I.T. (Grind, Reliability, Initiative, Intellectual Curiosity, and Team Player) competencies framework to define and assess the essential traits for success within our program, ensuring a consistent and scalable experience for our Fellows.
