Being an ATLAS Fellow has helped Suzie take advantage of many opportunities from participation in virtual summits to summer internships at Balyasny Asset Management and Fidelity. As she prepares to graduate from the University of Wisconsin, Suzie reflects on a meaningful early learning experience.
As an ATLAS Fellow, is there an experience that particularly shaped you?
The Goldman Sachs Women’s Possibilities Summit was truly an enlightening experience for me. It provided me with firsthand exposure to the realm of finance and investments in a manner that seemed genuine and concrete. Listening to experts discuss their career paths and perspectives not only enhanced my enthusiasm for real estate finance and investments but also boosted my confidence in seeking opportunities at leading firms. It was motivating to engage with numerous ambitious women in the sector and to observe directly how I could establish my own route in this area. The experience solidified that I fit in here and that there’s immense potential for advancement in this industry.
Graduation is around the corner! What comes to mind as you reflect on your time with ATLAS?
The mentorship, support, and network I’ve gained from ATLAS have shaped not just my career aspirations but also my confidence in what’s ahead. It’s been amazing to be part of a community that genuinely invests in its people and opens doors. I am excited (and a little nervous!) for what’s next, but more than anything, ATLAS has given me the tools and support to go after the opportunities I want.
