I became an ATLAS Fellow to realize the dream and the sacrifices my parents made when they immigrated here from Ghana. ATLAS has exposed me to the field of business in ways that I would have never had the opportunity to on my own. I hope to use my knowledge to enter into and succeed in this traditionally closed-off field so that I can become a role model for other kids with stories similar to mine and inspire them to aim high. I want to show that one's identity should not be a limitation but rather a source of strength and motivation.

I became an ATLAS Fellow because my parents have sacrificed so much for me in the past 18 years, which has given me the chance to grow and succeed in life. I want to be part of the change on increasing diversity in workplaces. I want to become a positive role model for the younger generation in my family because most of them will be first generation college students, just like me; it would be inspiring for them to see someone from the same background find success, no matter the barriers.

I became an ATLAS Fellow because I care deeply about the environment and the future of our planet, and I believe I can make a positive impact while working in the world of finance and business. I want to work with companies that address climate change through strategic and innovative solutions to reduce our carbon footprint. With the help of ATLAS, I want to be successful in business in ways that heal and maintain the beauty of our environment.

Karolina Dudkowska

I joined ATLAS Fellows because my mother brought me to this country from Poland four years ago in search of a better life for me. I want to become an actuary or work as an analyst. ATLAS provides generous scholarships, amazing internship experiences, and many networking opportunities that will make this possible for me. ATLAS's mission to make education and career development more achievable for a diverse group of talented youth makes me extremely proud to be a part of this community.

I became an ATLAS Fellow to acquire the knowledge and experiences to master the content and make it more accessible to everyone. Coming from a first-generation immigrant family, I have seen the challenges of understanding or decoding the business world, and I would like to simplify these concepts for people of various backgrounds and education levels. I would also like to make my parents proud for all the hard work and sacrifices they have made for me.

Dhimani Jean-Pierre

Howard University

Business Management

Dhimani Jean-Pierre

I became an ATLAS Fellow because I want to pursue a career in business and forge my own path. I want to take care of my parents because they sacrificed so much to push me to where I am right now. Finally, I want to help children in my neighborhood, especially my little brother, because there are not many role models, and many people from my community look up to me.

Condoleezza Rice once said that if she had been waiting for a black, female Soviet specialist role model to begin her career, she would still be waiting. I became an ATLAS Fellow because I, too, am done waiting. I am excited to be a part of a community that represents the diverse and inclusive future of finance. I am happy to finally have a community to look to for guidance as I navigate college life. And finally, I am eager to be the change and representation in the professional world that I've been waiting to see.

I became an ATLAS Fellow for two reasons. First, as a first-generation college student, I am determined to fulfill my parents' wish of graduating college and finding professional success. Second, I want to change the lack of representation for women of color in the financial industry. The ATLAS Fellows program has given me the opportunity to open new doors and pathways to turn my goals into my reality.

Jacqueline Neishabouri

Wesleyan University

Jacqueline Neishabouri

I became an ATLAS Fellow to continue learning about finance and building upon what my parents have started in this country. My parents did not attend college, so I know that it is very important for me to do well. I want to show my younger brothers that they can also go to a competitive college and earn a spot in programs like ATLAS. The ATLAS program has also really helped me connect with other young adults who are interested in similar careers and goals and go to rigorous colleges and universities.

Reece Penny

Canisius College

I chose to be an ATLAS Fellow because I want to gain valuable experiences and knowledge of the finance industry to set myself up for a successful career. Up to this point, I have mostly taught myself about the stock market through my own research. However, I know that to take the next step in my career, I need to learn more about the industry and meet more professionals. With the help of ATLAS, I hope to gain the networks and knowledge to launch my career.

Emili Robles

University of Wisconsin

Emili Robles

I became an ATLAS Fellow because I wanted to be a part of a community that helped underrepresented students like myself take advantage of opportunities that will help us become successful not only professionally, but in every aspect of our lives. Being a low-income, first-generation, Hispanic woman and student, I want to succeed and represent my community to showcase that anything is possible, no matter where you come from.

Kevin Serrano

I became an ATLAS Fellow because my future career aspiration is to become a corporate lawyer working in finance. ATLAS will help me obtain valuable work experience in the field and support my journey through college. ATLAS gave me the ability to showcase my efforts and challenged me to grow in professional settings. As a child of immigrant parents from Mexico, I want to influence people in similar circumstances to persevere and seek every opportunity available to them.

Ahmed Shekhani

Fordham School of Business

Global Finance

Ahmed Shekhani

I became an ATLAS Fellow because I wanted to join an organization that would help me achieve my dream of entering the field of finance. Growing up in a low-income immigrant household, I understood that I could not afford to lose any opportunity that came my way. I hope to be a role model for students from similar backgrounds who are interested in finance. I want to show people that regardless of the circumstances that you are born in, as long as you work hard and take advantage of every opportunity, you can achieve success.

Valerie Stevenson

I became an ATLAS Fellow because I want to prove to my parents that the sacrifices they made were for something. This opportunity is a great start to my future success in a finance career, and with all the help from the amazing people that support me through ATLAS, I truly believe that I will be able to make my parents proud. This program has helped me chase my goals, and it has given me the opportunity to be able to attend my dream college and pursue my ideal life.

As the daughter of refugees, I have always admired the resilience and courage my parents embody. I became an ATLAS Fellow because I want to maximize my education while ensuring that I can fulfill the goals and aspirations my parents came to this country for. Through this program, I hope to not only become a stronger leader, but I also endeavor to leave a lasting impact and to set an example for future generations of Fellows.

Brian Zhagui

I became an ATLAS Fellow because I want to inspire marginalized peoples to believe that they can accomplish their dreams no matter how difficult it may seem. I am also deeply passionate about the financial industry and would like to pursue the goals I have set for myself. I want to make my family and everyone who has supported me proud of who I have become.

Jess Zhang

University of Chicago

Jess Zhang

I became an ATLAS Fellow to join an amazing group of students who are wonderfully diverse but also share the same interests as I do. Alongside them, I am able to expand my horizons and learn more about the finance industry. With time, I hope to become a resource and supportive figure for other young individuals! Together, let’s believe in ourselves!
